Ladies' Day Expands Are you interested in playing friendly, casual golf with friends? The Wednesday morning  Ladies' Day might be just what you need this year. Open to full and now social members of CNCC, you can sign up for Ladies' Day during the week in the women's locker room. The sign-up list is kept up until Monday afternoon and then pairings and tee-times are created and posted both in the locker room and the Pro Shop. The group plays every week but there is no minimum requirement for attendance in case you have company or are out of town. This year for the first time the group will be holding sign-ups for both the traditional 9-hole group as well as an 18-hole group which will tee-off shortly before the 9-holers. Ladies will be able to freely 'float' back and forth between the groups as they wish; it just depends on how many holes each person feels like playing on a given week. The existing group will not be affected at all, it's just a great way to give ladies more options. Handicapping, scoring, and fun games will be done the same way as they have been by the organizers of Ladies' Day. The group includes women who are members of the Twilight league and simply offers a more casual alternative to the more competitive nature of league play. The ladies often meet for lunch in the Grille following golf as a nice way to cap off the day. Ladies' day is scheduled to begin on May 27th, 2009. We start our season with a banquet on May 28th, and then League play will start June 11th with a "fun nite" The last day of play will be September 3rd. We will accept new members on a first, come first serve basis. Come and join us this year for some good golf and good friends! Men's Twilight League The CNCC Men's Twilight League is played on  Tuesday afternoons between 3:00 and 5:30pm. The league is made up of 60-70 players split up into 8 teams and you must be a full member of Cape Neddick CC in order to participate. While a competitive, nine-hole league with prizes to winning teams, the league is also a very social group who enjoy having dinner together here at The Grille following matches. The league season runs from mid-May to the end of August and consists of 14 matches. The expectation, as outlined in league by-laws, is that you participate in 11 of the 14 matches and that your handicap is 35 or less at time of entry into the league If you can fulfill the above commitment, please provide the Club with your information and we will put you in touch with a league representative. League openings are first filled from the list of league members who have been granted a leave of absence from the previous year and then from the waiting list. Teams are selected in early May but there are occasional openings due to injury or other circumstances so get your information to us soon if you are interested.
